New Jersey’s Multi-Unit Dwelling (MUD) EV Charger Incentive is encouraging owners and operators of multi-family properties to provide EV chargers for residents and guests. The program offers incentives to support the purchase and installation of eligible Level-Two EV charging equipment.
New Jersey Multi-Unit Dwelling EV Charger Incentive Details

May apply for up to six (6) level 2 chargers.

FY23 eligible applicants may be apartments, condominiums or mixed residential locations that feature a minimum of five units and have dedicated off-street parking.

Funding reserved on a first-come, first-served basis pending successful completion and submittal of the Acknowledgement Notice.

Payments shall be in the form of a reimbursement, based on proof of purchase of an eligible EV charging station(s).

NJBPU reserves the right to inspect the charging station(s) for program verification purposes.

EV charging stations must be purchased and received prior to submitting the Grant Expenditure Report for reimbursement.

Applicants are not permitted to stack funding/incentives for the same charging station.
