Relief ahead for electric vehicle charging pain points

The drive to electrify commercial vehicle fleets is intensifying globally. Mordor Intelligence estimates the market size for commercial electric vehicles (EVs) to have already reached US$105.66 billion globally and expects it to more than triple in scope to $323.73 billion by 2028.

Frito-Lay unveils 100% electric vehicle fleet at Charlotte depot

Frito-Lay is trading in flaming hot gas engines for electric vehicles at one of it’s Charlotte facilities. There are 28 fully electric vehicles that will come and go from the depot near Westinghouse Boulevard, and you’ll be able to see them when they drop off fresh snacks at retail stores, gas stations, and other locations. Charlotte-based Atom Power helped install the charging infrastructure there.

Frito-Lay going full electric at Charlotte facility | Queen City News Broadcast

The snack company is partnering with Duke Energy and Huntersville-based Atom Power.

“It was exactly what they needed for this depot,” said Atom Power CEO Ryan Kennedy. “It was highly reliable charging infrastructure and large-scale energy management, and that’s what we do, fundamentally, as a company.”

Atom Power and L.A. LIVE Partner to Expand Access to EV Charging for Guests

Atom Power, the pioneer in solid-state breaker electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, has partnered with L.A. LIVE, the downtown Los Angeles sports and entertainment district, to install 48 Atom EV charging ports on L.A. LIVE’s campus. Through this partnership, L.A. LIVE will more than triple the number of EV chargers currently available on-site, significantly expanding access for visitors.
